Overview of Status of Analysis, Design, Fabrication, Tests, etc.

• • Purchased Temp Sensors and RTD extension wires

  • Decided to purchase LN2 from UCSD market place:

    • 200L at 35psi (2.4 bar): $76.71 + shipping + bottle rental +etc

    • Based on quote from AIRGAS for non-UCSD price: Delivery $43, Fuel Surcharge $9.2, Airgas Hazard Charge $26.8, Bottle rental fee $4.31/day (should be lower from UCSD marketplace)

    • Estimate total of less than $200 (GOOD)

  • Sponsor confirmed to provide heater

• • Purchase tubing, fitting, insulation before Tuesday (Get Heater inlet / outlet size from sponsor on Monday, hopefully) (Yuting Huang)

  • Design small mixing box to mix 6 channels into 1

  • Complete safety training for LN2

Risks and Areas of Concern

    • Could not find suitable heat conductive epoxy that can withstand the low temp;

    • Current idea: use gasket tape to secure RTD to tubing

    • Need cryogenic thermal paste between sensor and tubing?
