Overview of Status of Analysis, Design, Fabrication, Tests, etc.
Started control algorithm design (Teng)
We have begun assembly and started prototype testing
Redesign chamber after testing and find leaking (Kimi)
In progress of image processing code (Kimi)
Accomplishments from Previous Week
Prototype chamber built and flow testing
Base and camera holders were 3-D printed or machined.
Redesign chamber to resolve leaking issue
Goals for Next Week (list names after each item). Use specific and measurable objectives.
Figure out how to count for the delay in the control algorithm (Teng)
Figure out what is wrong with the real flow profile and if it is related to the smaller diffuser hole size (Damien)
Resolve pump flow rate issue
Resolve chamber leaking issue
Finish image acquisition and processing code in C++.
Machine shrinked 3-D printed pieces and other required pieces after the redesign. (Yuling)
Calibrat the pump. Map from pump rpm to specific flow rate. (Yuling)

Did not meet with sponsor due to schedule conflict
Instructor Comments from Last Meeting and Actions Taken to Address these Comments (indicate date of comments and if via email or in person)
Talked to Steve Roberts about feedback control design and he suggested that there would be delay of the control effect (Teng)
Researched on control design on system with delay, found some information but got confused

Risks and Areas of Concern
Real flow profile compared to theory is much different, although there are significant variables that could be contributing
Measured pump maximum flow rate is 1/8 about the number on spec sheet. Have contacted to the pump company, and they suggest us change to larger diameter tubing.
MATLAB Webcam has really low frame rate, so we still need to switch back to C++ to write code about image acquisition and processing
Resources or Information Required but not Available
Waiting ACMS to install webcam support package on EBU2 computer labs
ACMS solving issue with Linux machine configured for Comsol simulations
