Overview of Status of Analysis, Design, Fabrication, Tests, etc.

• • Merlin is performing a torque analysis in order to estimate the functional requirements of the winching motor. He is researching motor purchasing,too.

  • Matt is designing a level wind case and gearing system.

  • Jebsen is researching batteries and power management systems.

  • Johnathan is researching materials, especially materials suitable for the winch cable.

  • Thomas is researching waterproofing and designing the pressure case.

• • We have developed a team work schedule. The times when each team member is available to work on the project are posted on Google Drive.

• • We likely will not have time to preform a complete a second prototype. Any improvements will have to be incorporated into the first prototype. Purchasing good parts the first time is therefore very important
