Overview of Status of Analysis, Design, Fabrication, Tests, etc.
Merlin is performing a torque analysis in order to estimate the functional requirements of the winching motor. He is researching motor purchasing, too.
Matt is designing a level wind case and gearing system.
Jebsen is researching batteries and power management systems.
Johnathan is researching materials, especially materials suitable for the winch cable.
Thomas is researching waterproofing and designing the pressure case.
Accomplishments from Previous Week
We have developed a team work schedule. The times when each team member is available to work on the project are posted on Google Drive.
Goals for Next Week (list names after each item). Use specific and measurable objectives.

Choose a motor to use in our first prototype - Merlin
Choose a material for the cable in the first prototype- Johnathan
Choose pressure case materials to use in the first prototype - Thomas
Choose the gears to be used in the first prototype - Matt

Risks and Areas of Concern
We likely will not have time to preform a complete a second prototype. Any improvements will have to be incorporated into the first prototype. Purchasing good parts the first time is therefore very important
