Week 10 Progress Report

Overview of Status of Analysis, Design, Fabrication, Tests, etc.

• Testing and Optimizing

  • Calibrating PWM and thermal resistance

• All fabrications and creating algorithm is complete

• Software; implemented digital filter, PWM, flow contorl, DUT power supply limitor and overflow sensor

Accomplishments from Previous Week

• Using voltage divider to read more than 10 voltage from DUT power supply by DAQ

• PWM algorithm was finalized.

  • Arbitrary value (creating button) on the screen

• • Disaster alarm

    • Thermal control mode → 0 - heater , 2 - DUT , (Rdh = 0 always)

  • Set DUT Temp: LL_SET_TSB_DAQ(   ) → ATC_LL_SET_TSB_DAQ (ch.5, 0~2046)    It will change DUT Temp

  • Set the max value to 125~130 degree Celsius

  • May use ATC_SET_Limits to avoid setting up the max values every time at initialization

• Since DAQ cannot read more than 10 volt, it is necessary to use voltage divider to scale down the reading the voltage.  Then we need to scale up the reading voltage in LabVIEW program in order to calculate actual power supply for DUT

• Digital filtering must occur for parameters going into theta calculation

• PWM should be implemented into control system

  • Software-time PWM implemented, in leu of potentiometer-tuned on/off voltage (which was the previously developed method).

• Coordinate with Jim Babcock what time presentation will be at Delta for week 10

  • Thursday 3/15/2012 at 10:30 set as an initial presentation time.

• Demonstration of hardware in EBU-2 Room 131 to take place.

  • Tuesday 3/13/2012 at 1pm set as demo time.
