Overview (status of analysis, design, fabrication, tests, etc)
We are in the process of determining a method for measuring the vibration of the MRI machine. Whether or not we should hire an outside group (could take too much time) or buy an instrument ourselves (expensive?) TBD.
Accomplishments from Previous Week
Created a risk reduction report and spoke with the MRI manufacturers about the vibration analysis of the specific machine we are using.
Goals for Next Week (list names after each item). Use specific and measurable objectives.
-Identify any equipment or materials that may require significant lead time. (group)
-Attend advanced machining workshops (Calvin)
-Find a method for measuring vibration of MRI (group)
Sponsor Comments from Last Meeting (Actions Taken to Address these Comments)
- Determine a method for measuring the vibration of the MRI machine, and we are conculting an outside source and researching the price of an instrument for out own use.
Instructor Comments from Last Meeting (Actions Taken to Address these Comments)
-Determine the actually frequencies of the MRI around which vibration of the cradle will occur. It was determined that vibration occurs around 1 kHz and 5 Hz not necessarily the range.
