Developing a topic

The purpose of the assignment is to write a PERSUASIVE RESEARCH PAPER about a current social issue/problem.

Your thesis must be ARGUABLE (there are two sides to the issue) and PROVABLE (your position can be supported by valid research/data).

Your task today is to create and share a Google Doc called brainstorm.lastname.hour and on it propose FIVE potential topics. For each topic, compose a paragraph explaining...

1. Why it's arguable--articulate BOTH sides of the issue.
2. How/why it is relevant and important.
