Hurston Folktale Project

1. Select and read one of the folktales on the site list—folktales that make reference to racial epithets are off limits.
2. On a sheet of paper, illustrate an important image from the story, using as much detail as possible from the text itself. Add the moral/lesson from the story as a caption for your illustration.
3. Write your name and the name of the folktale on the back of the sheet and turn it in or bring to class tomorrow.

You will be evaluated on your appropriate choice of tale, your accurate and detailed rendering, and your articulation of the theme.
