University of Northern Iowa - Physics Scholarship - February 7, 2026

Physics Department also offers several multiyear, $4,000 Jourdan Excellence in Physics scholarships for new students. Hopkins-Jourdan Scholarship provides a full tuition scholarship for 4 years for incoming physics majors.
Bright Scholars of Iowa
For the upcoming year, 21 Iowa high school seniors will receive Bright Scholars of Iowa Awards. This scholarship assures that the recipient's tuition, board, and room and books are fully paid for four years at any of the Iowa's three Regent universities. This year 16 recipients will have tuition and books paid for their two-year enrollment at Des Moines Area Community College or Indian Hills Community College. Iowa Environmental Health Association -
To be eligible a recipient must be: a resident of the state of Iowa, a high school senior or non-traditional student returning to college, currently a full-time student at any college, university or community college in the state of Iowa, an environmental health major or related field. GFWC/IOWA FEDERATION OF WOMEN’S CLUBS -
The GFWC/Iowa Scholarship Committee administers several scholarships to Iowa students in Iowa colleges and universities. This money is paid to the student by check, after she/he has provided registration documentation to the GFWC/Iowa State Headquarters for the fall term in the year the scholarship is awarded. Each year, the foundation gives out $2,500 scholarships to an exceptional group of rural students for their first year of college or vocational school. This scholarship is open to students entering an HBCU and majoring in any STEM or supply chain related majors working towards a bachelor’s degree.
James B. Morris Scholarship Fund (MSF) -
will award approximately 33 scholarships totaling $88,000 to minority students attending any college. Must have a minimum of 2.5 GPA. Dupaco Community Credit Union College Scholarship Program -
will award up to five (5) non-renewable $1,000 scholarships to Dupaco members enrolling as first-time, first year students at qualified institutions of higher education. A minimum of one scholarship will be awarded to a qualified student planning to attend a community, trade, or technical college. Each school may select up to three seniors to receive the scholarships. Students must have a GPA of 2.5 or greater, financial need, and demonstrated voluntary community service during senior year.
