University of Northern Iowa - Physics Scholarship  - February 7, 2026

Comprehensive information about UNI's degree programs and scholarships for first-year physics majors can be found at www.physics.uni.edu. Physics Department also offers several multiyear, $4,000 Jourdan Excellence in Physics scholarships for new students. Hopkins-Jourdan Scholarship provides a full tuition scholarship for 4 years for incoming physics majors. 

Bright Scholars of Iowa

For the upcoming year, 21 Iowa high school seniors will receive Bright Scholars of Iowa Awards.  This scholarship assures that the recipient's tuition, board, and room and books are fully paid for four years at any of the Iowa's three Regent universities.  This year 16 recipients will have tuition and books paid for their two-year enrollment at Des Moines Area Community College or Indian Hills Community College.  For full information on criteria and how to apply go to the Bright Scholars of Iowa website at http://www.brightscholarsofiowa.org/

Iowa Association of Municipal Utilities - Focused Scholarship - Applications are due 

Each $2,000 scholarship will be distributed to the educational institution. To apply, candidates must fill out and submit the scholarship application.

General Scholarship - Applications are due 

Each $500 will be distributed to the educational institution. To apply, candidates must fill out and submit the scholarship application.

Iowa Environmental Health Association -

To be eligible a recipient must be: a resident of the state of Iowa, a high school senior or non-traditional student returning to college, currently a full-time student at any college, university or community college in the state of Iowa, an environmental health major or related field.  Scholarships will be in the amount of $500. GFWC/IOWA FEDERATION OF WOMEN’S CLUBS - 

The GFWC/Iowa Scholarship Committee administers several scholarships to Iowa students in Iowa colleges and universities.  This money is paid to the student by check, after she/he has provided registration documentation to the GFWC/Iowa State Headquarters for the fall term in the year the scholarship is awarded.  GFWC/Iowa scholarship awards are based on volunteerism, achievement, and financial need. UNI Art Scholarship Review is available to incoming freshmen.  Complete the Department of Art Scholarship Application and Department/College Scholarship Information Form, available on the Department of Art web site:  https://chas.uni.edu/art/prospective-students/scholarships. 

ASUS - 

Our scholarships are awarded to current high school seniors or graduates, or undergraduate students who plan to continue their education in a variety of fields, including environmental science and engineering; biology and chemistry; medical and mathematical sciences; business management; and technology. Foundation for Rural Service - 

Each year, the foundation gives out $2,500 scholarships to an exceptional group of rural students for their first year of college or vocational school.  Additionally, several named scholarships are given to a select group of the over 1,500 applicants.  The application and more details can be found at  https://www.frs.org/programs/youth-programs/scholarships

Iowa Newspaper Foundation -

The Iowa Newspaper Foundation (INF) again has college scholarships available for students preparing for a newspaper career.  Several scholarships are available, please stop by the Guidance Office for a listing.  The application can be completed online by visiting the scholarship application link on the homepage of https://inanews.com/learn/scholarships/  

The American Council for the Blind (ACB) - 

has several scholarships available to students who are legally blind.  See https://www.acb.org/scholarships for more information. 

Hispanic Scholarship Fund (HSF) -

offers various scholarships in sums of $1,000-$12,000 to students of Hispanic heritage.  Student must have a 3.00 GPA.  See https://www.hsf.net/scholarship.

HBCU Scholarship -

This scholarship is open to students entering an HBCU and majoring in any STEM or supply chain related majors working towards a bachelor’s degree.

James B. Morris Scholarship Fund (MSF) - 

will award approximately 33 scholarships totaling $88,000 to minority students attending any college.  Must have a minimum of 2.5 GPA. (Currently, ISU, UNI, University of Iowa, Drake, Simpson, Grand View, William Penn, Wartburg, DMACC, and AIB College of Business have agreed to match MSF funds.)  Seewww.morrisscholarship.org/.  

Dupaco Community Credit Union College Scholarship Program  - 

will award up to five (5) non-renewable $1,000 scholarships to Dupaco members enrolling as first-time, first year students at qualified institutions of higher education. A minimum of one scholarship will be awarded to a qualified student planning to attend a community, trade, or technical college. Covenant Medical Center Auxiliary -

Covenant HealthCare Foundation takes great pride in offering students the opportunity to apply for scholarships to further their education.  Over the past 11 years, the Foundation has granted over $225,000 in scholarship money through the High School Scholarship program, Nursing scholarships, and the Zeile awards.  A formal presentation of the scholarships are made at the Foundation's Traditions Reception in May of each year.  https://www.covenanthealthcare.com/ch/foundationscholarships 

Regional Medical Center Auxiliary - 

is offering scholarships to seniors or graduates who are residents of the Regional Medical Center service area including Delaware County, Strawberry Point, Edgewood, and Winthrop, and are interested in pursuing a career in the human healthcare field.  Application is available in the high school office or at RMC Application 

Imagine America 

sponsored by the Career College Foundations, is a $1,000 career education award that is available to seniors who are pursuing an education at participating career colleges across the United States.  Each school may select up to three seniors to receive the scholarships.  Students must have a GPA of 2.5 or greater, financial need, and demonstrated voluntary community service during senior year. East-Central Iowa Rural Electric Cooperative - End of February 

will award up to 10 $1,000 scholarships to high school seniors who plan to continue their education at a two- or four-year institution and whose parents or guardians are members of ECI REC.  (Form needs to be typed.)  Access application at https://www.ecirec.coop/index.php/scholarships.

American Legion  Need A Lift
