The Ancient History course provides our students with opportunities to develop and apply their understanding of methods and issues involved in the investigation of the ancient past. Through archaeological and written sources, students study a range of features, people, places, events and developments of the ancient world.
Key topics may include: the emergence of early societies, ethics and the display of human remains, archaeology and the investigation of historical sites, Tutankhamun's tomb, 18th dynasty Egypt, Assyrian weapons and warfare, women in Greece and Rome, the eruption of Mt Vesuvius.
