Reading: 30 minutes and log it!

Math: Unit 6 - Page 78 - Multiplication of decimals - 5 problems. ESTIMATE FIRST AND WRITE YOUR ESTIMATE BEFORE YOU SOLVE. Remember, the most efficient way to do this is to multiply as if there are no decimals, then go back and consider the appropriate place value by counting the total decimal places in both numbers and counting back from the RIGHT the correct number so that you have the product with the correct place value.

Writing: 15-20 minutes. Write some more poetry. Try to incorporate some of the many ideas we have covered such as: Repetition, alliteration, personification, metaphor, simile, onomatopoeia, double-focus, using story ideas to turn into poems, and end with your strongest line. Today we worked on using sentence fragments in poetry. Look over some of your poems and see if using sentence fragments would make them stronger.
