I am very excited to get to know all of my students this year. Here is a little bit for you to get to know me! My name is Becky DiLegge. I have been teaching fifth grade at Washington School for 17 years. I am so excited to start my 18th year! Before I came to Washington, I taught fifth grade for 4 years at Burley School, a CPS school. I absolutely love this age and the excitement my students have every day.
I am a product of Park Ridge schools! I was a Carpenter, Lincoln, and then Maine South student. I am very proud of this. My mom is still in the neighborhood. I went on to receive my degree at the University of Illinois at Chicago.
My husband and I are the proud parents of 2. My son and daughter keep us on our toes and bring us great joy! So, when I leave school I joke that I am going to job #2, being a Mommy! We have a few other important members of our household. We have 2 Basset Hounds, Roscoe and Rocky, a bearded dragon named Lucy, and 2 guinea pigs named Lisa and Lola. I love spending time with all of them.
When I am not grading or planning for school or being a Mommy and wife, I enjoy trying new recipes when I cook and bake, doing crafts, going on adventures with my kids, traveling as a family, watching the Cubs, and spending time with my family and friends.
