Cannon Valley Youth Orchestra loves to work and play with young musicians, advancing artistic skills and studying exciting music together. We invite string players with at least 1 year of experience (ages 8-18) to bring your violins, violas, cellos, and basses and join our ensembles.

Based in Northfield, Minnesota, CVYO's 3 orchestras draw adventurous kids from around the Cannon Valley who enjoy playing beyond their home studios and school orchestras.

Inspired and instructed by our professional conductor and an array of guest artists, they tackle challenging techniques and fun repertoire together. 

NOTES

Summer 2026

Join us!  Our summer session may start with playing class so that our Music Directors can place new students in the appropriate ensemble.  This will be in the afternoon of Saturday, May 30.  Rehearsals for summer orchestra will begin Tuesday, June 16; chamber camp is July 13-17 and a combined concert is on Saturday, July 11 at 3pm.  Click here for more details!
