The 2026 ferry schedule is now available. The first boat of the season on Saturday, May 2nd at 9:30 AM.

TICKETS: For the 2026 season, individual rides and 10-ride tickets can be purchased on the ferry.

Ferry service departs Long Wharf in Portland on the passenger ferry St. Croix, and is provided for Cushing's Island residents and their guests.

The 2026 boat schedule is available below and printed copies will be on the St. Croix . Note that there are two weekday boats - 8:30 AM and 5:30 PM - starting on Monday June 22nd through Monday September 7th (Labor Day).

Departure times are from Long Wharf off Commercial Street in Portland. Return service from Cushing's Island is 1/2 hour later.

All boats call at Summer Landing on Cushing's Island.

Parking continues to be horrendous along the waterfront. Please leave a generous amount of time to unload and park or you will miss the boat both figuratively and literally,

For the 2026 season we once again welcome back the Lucky Catch captain and crew, who will be running the ferry service again this summer. We appreciate having the crew as part of our community, and us in theirs.

If you have a group of more than eight people planning to ride the ferry to Cushings, please let both the captain and Danny (our caretaker) know ahead of time. To try to avoid any overcrowding issues, we will be using sign-up sheets on busy weekends.
