In accordance with law, the District must provide parents with written notice of each school-based health-related service offered at the campus their child attends. These routine services promote student safety, wellness, and readiness to learn. The services may be provided by Kids Klub employees. A parent has the right to withhold consent for or decline any health-related service:
Kids Klub staff will communicate with parents or guardians during or after an illness or injury. The account owner is the primary point of contact. In the event of an emergency, if our staff are unable to reach a parent or guardian, they will attempt to reach the emergency contacts listed in your child's contract. Please note that Kids Klub staff will only have access to information in our registration system for the current year or summer program. Information provided to your school campus nurse, teachers, staff, or administration may not be accessible to Kids Klub staff.
CSISD parents who do not wish for their child to receive certain routine health services may now complete a Health Services Opt-Out Form. Our staff will not have access to forms you have submitted to the campus or campus nurse. You may contact the school campus office to request this form.
Routine Health-Related Services Provided at Your Child’s Campus:
First aid, injury evaluation and treatment
Administration of over-the-counter medications in accordance with law
Administration of prescription medications in accordance with law
Support the management of chronic health conditions (e.g., asthma, diabetes)
Support during illness or physical symptoms at school
Communicate with school nurse or administration regarding relevant medical care
Heat illness prevention and injury support
Any additional health-related services that the campus may believe are necessary and appropriate will necessitate separate written consent and parental involvement, unless during an emergency or as allowed by law.
All District employees:
Shall report alleged abuse or neglect of a student as required by law; and
May verbally inquire about a student’s daily well-being without parental consent.
CSISD Community Education programs do not offer formal counseling services, but will report any safety or well-being concerns to parents/guardians, program directors, or school counselors or administration, as appropriate.
Parents must designate whether they consent or do not consent to their child receiving routine, school-based health services in their registration.
