What is Amira?

In support of our SOFG literacy goals, we have acquired a grant for Amira Tutor. Amira is an AI powered personalized reading tutor that listens to students read and provide real-time feedback just as as teacher would. Feedback is given to students in the form of "micro-interventions." Amira adjusts to students' reading levels and needs as students read with "her."

Who Uses Amira?

For the 26-27 school year, students in the following groups will be impementing Amira:

1st Grade Students

2nd Grade Students

3rd Grade Students

All students in our RISE & STARS classes that serve 1st-3rd grade students.

Scheduling Time for Amira

Amira is intended to be used during student independent work/center time as you work with your 95% reading groups. However, you may want provide other opportunities for students who are pulled out during that time or students who are behind on minutes. This could be used as a "do now" activitity for certain students!
