Technology In The Classroom

The Instructional Technology Department equips classrooms with essential tools for engaging digital learning. Your classroom setup includes:

iPad Charging Cart: A secure and convenient solution for storing and charging student iPads.

Assigned Student iPads: Each student is individually assigned an iPad, checked out to them for personalized learning experiences.

View Assigned Student Devices

Projector or Smart Displays: A visual display for whole-class instruction and presentations.

Apple TV: Allows the teacher or students to project iPads and other Apple devices to the projector or smart display.

Apple Classroom helps teachers manage student iPads in class. It makes it easier for teachers to keep students on track, see what they're doing, and share information, making iPad use in the classroom more effective.

Seesaw (Grades K-5): Easy Sharing and Family Fun

Seesaw is a simple tool for young students (K-5) to show what they are learning. They can share drawings, pictures, videos, and talk about their work. Teachers can give feedback easily, even with their voice. Parents can see what their kids are doing and leave comments. Seesaw makes learning fun and keeps families connected.

Google Classroom (Grades 6-8): Keeping Learning Organized

Google Classroom helps older students (grades 6-8) stay organized. Teachers can put assignments and materials in one place online. Students can easily find their work and turn it in. It works with other Google tools like Docs and Slides. Google Classroom makes it easier for teachers to manage their classes and for students to keep track of their learning.

Imagine Clever as a special online doorway that connects your students to many of the different learning websites and apps they'll use in class. Instead of having to remember lots of different usernames and passwords for each website, students usually just log in to Clever once with their school account.

Think of it like a digital backpack – once they open it (log in to Clever), all their learning tools are right there, ready for them to use with just one click. This makes it much easier for both you and your students to access the online resources you need for teaching and learning.
