Volunteer Opportunities

Q: How do I become a volunteer? Is there a process?

A: YES. Because we value the safety and professionalism of all of our partners and students, there is an established process to becoming a volunteer. Applicants for Volunteer positions, please complete the following:

  • Online application with name, address, email and phone contact

  • Attached Volunteer Agreement found in the table of forms listed below

  • Local police background check

Once all documents are complete. Please deliver the signed agreement, along with copy of your background check to Cincinnati Public Schools Human Resources Department. Once approved, all CPS Volunteers are required to complete the Security Badge and Background Check form (located on the table of forms at the bottom of the page) and pick up a CPS Identification Badge from the Office of Safety Security Services located at the CPS Board of Education, 2651 Burnet Avenue, 1st floor. Office hours for the Security Office are Tuesdays and Thursdays, 7:30 a.m.- 2:30 p.m. to create badges. For more information about this process, contact Human Resources at (513) 363-0000.
