Module 2: Who are we?
Exercise 1: Learning from the experience of Constellation coaches
In the File Storage area of the programme: you will find the file ‘Tips and tools for module 2.pdf’ which contains a selection of exercises that we have found useful when we facilitate this step. You can experiment with any of these tools in the exercises below. Perhaps there are others that you would like to try. You must learn from experience to find the tools that you are most comfortable with and that you find most successful in bringing the group to the space of trust.
A space of trust”
“Trust makes ordinary people do extraordinary things.” Frédéric Laloux, author of “Reinventing Organisations”
Are you comfortable with the idea that “we need to create and to hold a space of trust where members of the community can express themselves freely, share and connect to each other through their common humanity, their strengths, vulnerabilities and concerns”? Do you have experience of being part of a group where this space of trust did not exist? What was the consequence of that absence of trust? Do you have experience of working within a group where the space of trust did exist? What was possible when you had this trust? Contribute your ideas to the forum
Exercise 2: Create a space of trust with your triad
You are going to work as a community during this programme. Come together as a triad and choose some of the exercises in this module to create and to hold a space of trust. When you have not met each other face-to-face this can be difficult. You will need to give your colleagues time and you will need to listen carefully.
Exercise 3: Create a space of trust in your community
You are going to accompany a group through the Community Life Competence process. In this first step, you will work to create this space of trust. Share your thoughts on what happened on the forum.
