Welcome to CU-Prime!
CU-Prime is a student-run organization aimed at increasing inclusion in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) fields through mentorship and community building. We are especially interested in building positive culture in STEM for those from typically underrepresented populations.
*Fall 2024: join us for a weekly coffee/cookie hour on Mondays at 11:30-12:30 AM in the student groups office, Duane G135A! Both undergraduate and graduate students are welcome—come meet your classmates, grab some free nourishment, take a study break, or have a study session!
We offer three programs for undergraduate students:
PHYS 1400
A semester-long academic class for first year students about what it looks like to do science.
Talks
Bi-weekly research talks led by grad students that promote networking and awareness of research happening at CU.
Mentorship
A long-term mentoring program that connects new physics students to graduate students and upper division undergraduate students.
CU-Prime is a proud member of the Access Network.
CU-Prime is based in the Physics Department of the University of Colorado Boulder.
