Clarke Central High School's multi-award-winning student-produced ODYSSEY Media Group is now accepting applications for the 2025-26 school year. The ODYSSEY offers various opportunities for aspiring journalists and photographers, as well as graphic designers, videographers, business-minded folks and website developers. Absolutely no late or incomplete applications will be accepted. Interviews will be scheduled following the review of applications. See the Welcome Letter for more information about the program.
Here is your checklist of things to do:
1. Please click here for the Application Google Classroom. Read through the Items to Review tab and the Application Assignment. Make sure you have a good understanding of what is expected of you. Completed applications must be submitted to Mr. Ragsdale via Google Classroom no later than February 7, 2025 for rising 10th-12th graders. Rising 9th graders should receive information from their ELA teachers in early 2025 and the application is due February 28, 2025.
2. Provide answers for the grades and commitment sections of your application.
3. Complete the application including the writing element (no less than 600 words).
4. Mark as done in Google Classroom before the deadline.
5. Share the teacher evaluation form, also located in Google Classroom, with two teachers who can speak on your behalf - one must be an ELA teacher. Teachers will submit electronically to Mr. Ragsdale.
6. During registration with your advisor, you will sign up for a full load of classes (8 primary requests and 3 alternates). If you are selected for the program, then your schedule will be adjusted. Please complete this form to identify which courses you will drop if selected for ODYSSEY.
Your completed application must be submitted in Google Classroom by the deadline. No late applications or incomplete applications will be accepted for review. Please note, that application for the program does not mean acceptance.
