Please note, application for the program does not mean acceptance.

Here is your checklist of things to do:

2) The documents below are to be completed within Google Classroom:

        Academic Internship Application

        Graduation Requirement Checklist

3) Complete the application with your parents/guardians, including electronic signatures.

4) Provide your best analytical writing sample (three-five pages) from this school year for critical review - the Academic Internship is a writing-intensive course, so this sample is important.

5) Provide your most up-to-date transcript - your adviser or counselor can do this for you.

6) Have three (3) teachers complete the required teacher evaluation electronically. At least one teacher must be from your potential research field (e.g., Science, Social Studies) and one English teacher who can attest to your abilities as a writer.

7) Provide a cover letter and resume - examples are included for your review.

8) Complete the graduation requirement checklist document - you must have two class periods available in your schedule next year to be considered.

9) During registration with your adviser, you will sign up for a full load of classes (8 primary requests and 3 alternates). If you are selected for the program, then your schedule will be adjusted. Please complete this form to identify which courses you will drop if selected for the internship.

You will submit all elements of your application packet (application, resume, cover letter, transcript, graduation checklist, and writing sample) via Google Classroom. Be sure to label all documents with your first and last name in the file name, for example: Payton Walter_Cover Letter, Payton Walter_Writing Sample, etc. Your teacher evaluations will be submitted electronically.

Your completed application is due at 3:35 PM to Mr. Ragsdale on January 31, 2025 via Google Classroom.  No late applications or incomplete applications will be accepted for review.
