Terminal Services
Once past the portal page, you are now logged into the CHA environment. You will now connect into a virtual desktop which will provide the services you are used to having onsite.
MacOS (using HTML5): (also works for Windows)
When at the CHA portal page, look to bottom of that page and click on the link ending: (HTML5 Access).
Once at login screens:
For username: your normal network name, which you use onsite
For password: enter only your normal network password, as if you were onsite
Windows:
When at the CHA portal page, click on: “CHA-TS01 Microsoft Terminal Services” (middle of page, under "Terminal Sessions")
Accept or run any program download/install/update apps (they are safe).
Once at login screens:
For username: your normal network name, which you use onsite
For password: enter only your normal network password, as if you were onsite
then click the right-arrow, next to Password field
You will then be brought to a CHA-standard desktop.
Note: you are not actually on your office/cubicle/floor computer. You are now working on a “virtual workspace”: a computer session being hosted on servers in the CHA datacenter. This provides you with the same experience as if you were on a computer somewhere in CHA, but with the added benefit of 24x7 availability (onsite computers are often in use by others, waiting on updates, or powered off…).
