Requirements

Some (free) software will need to be installed or updated during this process. Software indicated in these instructions are safe to be installed/updated and when prompted it is safe to Accept or respond Yes to these (do continue to show extreme caution on any other prompts outside these instructions). You will need administrator access to your personal device to perform these.

Check below to ensure your computer is capable of connecting to CHA remotely. Note the cause for some devices to not be supported is their own security configuration or lack of essential embedded software.

SUPPORTED (most recent versions):

  • Windows 8, 10, 11

    • Edge, and Chrome (do not user Internet Explorer; Microsoft no longer supports the product)

  • MacOS

    • Safari

  • Chrome

NOT SUPPORTED:

  • Cell phone operating systems, all

  • Linux/etc

  • Tablets, all with the exception of the Microsoft “Surface” line (Windows...)

  • All browsers other than Edge/Chrome/Safari fall under use at own risk; these may or not provide connection to CHA dependent on their own current design, and Helpdesk cannot assist with.

ALSO, IMPORTANTLY: Make sure your operating system has all current updates installed, and ensure all programs are also currently up-to-date.

Up-to-date security (antivirus) software is a must. While CHA does not provide a recommendation, any major product will protect you and still allow you access to CHA. Some products can be reviewed here at PC Magazine: https://www.pcmag.com/reviews/antivirus
