Ramp-Up goes beyond just college access. It is a comprehensive advisory-based program that addresses five essential areas of readiness: academic, admissions, career, financial, and social and emotional readiness.
Definition of College in the Ramp Up program is any further education post secondary: 4 year, 2 year, Community or Technical, Professional program, internship, On the Job Training, even apprecticeship.
Grades 9 - 12 meet on Fridays from 9:48 - 10:08 with a teacher advisor to go over college and career activities. Students will graduate with a Personal Learning Plan that shows they have met the Minnesota State Standards for their high school diploma. Advisory groups are most often divided alphabetical and are most often less than 20 students per group. We have one school counselor, so this a researched based program approved by the state of Minnesota to provide students with the college and career skills they need to be successful in the global society.
