JOB DESCRIPTION: The Berkeley Student Cooperative is seeking members to serve as Restorative Justice  Practitioners (RJP). No experience with RJ is necessary, but preferred.  The RJ Practitioners will be trained in Restorative Practice (RP), Restorative Justice (RJ) and other forms of conflict resolution. They will be responsible for providing services in these areas for members and managers in the Berkeley Student Cooperative.  In addition, they will meet collectively to discuss unit climate and conflict issues within the coops. Applicants must demonstrate that they are highly self-disciplined and self-motivated as much of the work is independent. Applicants must also be confident in engaging conflict, and in acting as creators of safe/brave spaces for peers to discuss issues of unit climate, social justice, conflict and harm.  The RJPs will report to the Conduct Hearing Coordinator. We are seeking candidates who can commit to working up to 70 hours per semester.

REQUIREMENTS: Applicants must demonstrate that they are highly self-disciplined and self-motivated as much of the work is independent.

Applicants must also be confident in engaging conflict, and in acting as creators of safe/brave spaces for peers to discuss issues of unit climate, social justice, conflict and harm.  

HOURS AND PAY: We are seeking candidates who can commit to working up to 70 hours per semester and it is compensated with a rent credit at workshift rate ($22/hr)
