Non-Perishables Coordinator

JOB DESCRIPTION: The two Non-Perishable Coordinators oversee packing, delivery, and inventory of non-perishables and supplies, and supervise non-perishable packing and delivery crews. They coordinate receiving of non-perishables and supplies and report discrepancies to the CFS Supervisor. They ensure all work areas are orderly, safe, and clean, including delivery vehicles. They lead a team of workshifts to pack and deliver non-perishables, supplies, coffee, tea, spices, kitchenware, and occasionally, furniture, on Tuesdays and Thursdays; they also lead a crew to procure large quantities of key items directly from Costco, as needed. They maintain organized and complete delivery records and work to ensure that workplace safety and security protocols are followed, along with other duties assigned by the CFS Supervisor.
REQUIREMENTS: You must have a valid drivers’ license and a good driving record. You must be willing and able to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly and on a regular basis. Previous experience with foodservice operations and/or supervising and leading a team preferred, but not required. You may not be a member of the Board of Directors and hold a central level job. You must be a current BSC member to hold this position. Required Scheduling Availability: At least two (but ideally three), 3-4 hour blocks during weekday afternoons. Deliveries generally take place in the afternoons starting between 12-1pm.
HOURS/PAY: This is a 9-hour/week position, compensated with a rent credit for 4 hours/week and fulfilling your five-hours/week workshift requirement. Apartment residents will receive an additional rent credit stipend for the five workshift hours, as this job does not replace the workshift requirement at the apartments. If for whatever reason this job begins mid-semester, the stipend will be prorated. This position starts in Spring and lasts indefinitely, although you would not work during the summer (as CFS operates only during Fall & Spring Semesters).
