*DUPLICATE PAGE*

Use this diagram below to help setup for a Panel Type Discussion Forum (aka Town Meeting or School District Meeting)

You can download the PDF file at the bottom of the page.

Notes:

* The arrangement of the tables may vary slightly, depending whether it is a Town or School District Meeting.

* The microphone connections 3 and 5 are backstage right. 5 is on the wall, and 3 is a connection inside a black panel box on the wall,

along with 21 and 25. Connections 8, 9, 10, and 11 are on the stage apron.

*For the table mics, as well as the ones on the stands in the audience, it's best to use the Shure SM58 mics.

The Moderators mic should be the Shure SM57. It should have with it a foam windscreen. If not you will hear popping when people speak

into it. If you cannot find it then use an SM58.

*Mics 12 and 13 are placed mid way in the audi on stands. The cables are plugged into jacks on the wall while the stands are placed

near the back of the seats in the front section. The cables should be taped down because this is a high traffic area.

It is also a good idea to make sure other areas that have mics cables are taped down as well. The Panel Table is another example.

*The small AV cart has the VGA cable and it's going to need to be taken off and run under the table so a person can run a computer from there.

*The other areas that are going to need to be addressed are running a remote camera and recording the meeting on multiple devices,

sending a video and audio feed to the gym if there is a need, and sending video and audio back to the audi. This will most likely involve

contacting an outside contractor for extra long cabling and AV distribution devices. (Unless in the future we have more of that equipment)

*The wireless hand held mics are specific to the receivers they are matched to. We currently have 20 receivers. You will want

to use numbers 11 and 12. They can be plugged into any channel number on the mixer.

A good place to put them on the mixer are inputs 1 and 2 because they go before mic #3, which is the moderator mic.

*The AV cart's audio cables are to be unplugged from # 10 and 11 on the Apron so that you can use the mic jacks for the table mics.

Also check the cables for them behind the booth mixer, because they are re-routed to other inputs.
