This Website is Old, Kept only for History.
This is our ETC Element light board.
Let's assume for a minute you haven't programmed a light board, aren't familiar with it,
or have never even stood next to one. Looking at the picture below you see sliders
that represent our "Submasters". These are pre-programmed groups of lights that we use most often.
As an example you could push up two sliders and get a complete "wash" of the stage.
You could do a whole show by using just the Submasters. You don't need to program "cues" into the board
for a general wash of the stage, if there are already sliders (aka faders) to do that. This doesn't mean you
won't be encouraged or shouldn't program the board for cues, you certainly can. It's just a matter what you want to do
for your show.
We will have the manual available to you in the booth and you can also click on this LINK to download the PDF

Here are the "Magic Sheets" made on our light board illustrating the layout of the lights.
Click on each one for a larger view.
This first one is showing the stage overhead Fresnels, CYC lights, Par cans and the LED lights.
There are also Source 4 elliptical lights hanging from the UP stage light bar that can be re-focused.

This is showing the area of coverage for the overhead Fresnel lights.
* The actual lights overlap their area coverage.
The diagram below is showing the lights hung from our catwalks in the auditorium. Notice the light numbers
that are assigned to each one, and the black circle represents the area they cover on the stage.
The actual area is larger, this is just for illustration purposes. Also notice that there are two lights each
that hit stage left, center, and right, from catwalk 2. These are from both ends of the catwalk.
The diagram shows them overlapping each other so you can their numbers. The "DN STG" and the
PIT lights are part of our standard light plot and programmed as "Submasters". They are not moved or re-focused.
The other detail to note is that it looks like we have some lights hanging in mid air. They aren't, they have been moved away
from the other lights in the diagram to show their specific use. Lights 19 and 27 are set aside to illuminate the floor
for presentations from the podium. Light 31 is a special logo "BHS PERFORMING ARTS" to shine on the side wall.

DID YOU KNOW THERE IS ANOTHER WAY TO OPERATE
MOST OF THE STAGE LIGHTS,
FROM THE BOOTH, WITHOUT USING THE LIGHT BOARD?
