After getting postponed on Tuesday afternoon, the Brave took the court against an improved, but young Rocky Mountain team. Boise High took the win 9-3, but it was a closer match than the final score dictates. Highlights from the match include:
Girls Team came out victorious 5-1.
Dominant wins by both girls doubles teams. Jennifer Wong and Greta Walser teamed up at #1, while Sophie Copple and Anna Matthews won decisively at #2.
Avery Samer and Katie Turcke both made quick work of their opponents at #1 and #2 singles respectively.
On the boys side, the Byrne Brothers continued their winning ways in District with a strong performance at #1 doubles.
Kent Knothe was dominant once again at #2 singles, and Luke Neely got the win of the year at #3 singles.
In mixed both teams won handily with Nick Lubamersky and Tessa Staley at #1, and Martin Gruau and Allison Gee at #2.
The player of the match was awarded to Luke Neely. Luke lost the first set 4-6, but came back with a vengeance winning the second 6-1. He withstood a rain delay, multiple match points, and the pressure of both teams watching to win 7-5 in a 3rd set tie-breaker. What a match!
