Boise's first home match of the year took place on Thursday night against 3A powerhouse Parma High.  We had a great first home match of the year, taking the win 8-4.  Here are some highlights from the match.

Halle Dingel got Boise on the board with our first win of the evening with a dominating 6-1, 6-1 win at # 3 girls singles.

The girls side had a clean sweep, with Singles wins by Avery Samer, Katie Turcke, and Halle Dingel.  In doubles Jenn Wong and Greta Walser paired up for a win at #1, while Anna Matthews and Tessa Staley kept pace at #2.

Liam Gibson and Pete Bard had a major win at #2 boys doubles.  They are really gelling as a team.

Nick Byrne made a return to singles with a 6-1, 6-0 victory at #1 boys singles, while his brother JJ won his match 6-0, 6-0 that took about 30 minutes.

Congratulations to Katie Turcke for being named Player of the Match.  She came back in the second set to win in a tie-breaker.

The tennis team will be taking Spring Break off, but look forward to returning to the court on March 28th to take on Capital before leaving for Eastern Idaho to play Thunder Ridge and Madison.
