On Monday, 3/15, the Boise Brave tennis team travelled to BK for their first match of the season.  It was a great evening for the Brave, as they won the match 7-5.  There were epic matches, especially on the singles side.  Highlights included:

Ella Piron and JJ Byrne both earned hard fought 3 set wins at the number one singles position.  It was impressive to see their mental strength in dominating the 3rd sets.

Boise's Mixed Teams swept their doubles matches in quick fashion.  Sophia Mullin and Eddie Ormseth won in straight sets, while Caroline Turcke and Pete Bard dominated dropping just 1 game in their straight sets win.

Tessa Staley and Anna Matthews, 2019 Girls Doubles Champions, paired up for a strong doubles win at #1 Girls Doubles.  Sophie Copple and Lauren Gee worked well at the number #2 position for a big win.

Luke Neely and JP Edwards teamed up for a dominant win at #2 doubles winning quickly.

While they did not get the wins, both Katie Turcke and Allison Gabelman fought back to force a third set after losing their first.  They should tremendous mental fortitude, and we cannot wait to see them get back on the court.

Sophie Copple was named Player of the Match for strong net play.
