Benefactors

Please see below for information about our generous benefactors or our 2023 program. We are incredibly grateful for the support of our community! 

We hosted a Book Fair with Barnes & Noble and received 15% of sales during a 3-day weekend. The fundraiser brought in a whopping $4,884.66 -- all which was spent on the purchase of books for this year's program! Special thanks to all community members who came in to the store to visit with us during the event.

The State College Branch of the AAUW generously donated $2,000 to Bellefonte READS! The funds were used to purchase books for our "One Book, One Bellefonte" initiative. This is the 9th year that the AAUW has supported Bellefonte READS. Without their support, we would not be able to provide so many free books to the community. 

The Bellefonte Education Foundation donated $1,500 to be used toward the purchase of books for our "One Book, One Bellefonte" initiative. The organization has supported our work for many years and we are incredibly grateful for their dedication to literacy!

Several local Walmart stores granted us funds for this year, for a total of $1,500! 

The grant money was used to purchase books for our "One Book, One Bellefonte" initiative. 

Bellefonte Area School District faculty and staff can donate $1 each week throughout the school year to wear jeans to work on Fridays. The money donated is provided to local charities and organizations. For the 3rd straight year, Bellefonte Area Middle School staff chose to donate their weekly jeans money to Bellefonte READS. The total amount donated was $1,332.00! 

The Field Burger and Tap donated $857.30 via our fundraiser for The Field Gives Back. The funds wil be used to bring in an author for a virtual visit.

The Marion-Walker Elementary PTO donated $500. The funds will be used to purchase books and station items for our literacy night!

Sheetz donated a $250. The funds will be used to purchase books for our "One Book, One Bellefonte" celebration.

The Bellefonte Kiwanis donated $250. The funds will be used to purchase supplies for our "One Book, One Bellefonte" celebration.

Dotts Hamilton Tax and Accounting Services donated $200. The funds will be used to purchase books for this year's program.

3twenty9 donated $200. The funds will be used to purchase supplies for the 2023 "One Book, One Bellefonte" celebration.

The Bellefonte Knights of Columbus donated $200. The funds will be used to purchase books for book baskets and bring in the author of this year's featured title!

The Bellefonte Moose Lodge donated $100. The funds will be used to purchase books for book baskets and bring in the author of this year's featured title!

The Sunrise Rotary Club donated $100. The funds will be used to purchase books for book baskets and bring in the author of this year's featured title! 

The Bellefonte Elks donated $100. The funds will be used to purchase books for book baskets and bring in the author of this year's featured title!

The Catholic Daughters of the Americas Court #448 donated $100. The funds will be used to purchase books for our summer programming!

Bellefonte Family Dentistry donated $50. The funds will be used to purchase books for book baskets and bring in the author of this year's featured title!


Robin Hood Brewing Company donated two $25 gift cards! They will be added to one of our book baskets.


Hide & Seek Prenatal Peek donated $25. The funds will be used to purchase books for this year's program.

Trinity United Methodist Church will be donating book baskets that for our Community Literacy Night. They will also donate bags of chips for the free community dinner. Trinity has supported our program for many years and we are very grateful for their generosity!

The Bellefonte Elementary PTO donated two book baskets for our 2023 "One Book, One Bellefonte" celebration.

Trader Joe's in State College donated paper bags that were used to provide the amazing books to our community!

Texas Roadhouse in State College donated 800 bookmarks! They were added to the book bags. Kids can fill out the bookmark to earn a free kids meal!
