The Believe in Reading Foundation has generously donated $3,000 to Bellefonte READS for the second year in a row! The funds will be used to purchase books for our "One Book, One Bellefonte" initiative. Without their support, we wouldn't be able to provide so many free books to the community.

Several local Walmart stores granted us funds for this year, for a total of $3,000!

• Walmart #2230 on Benner Pike granted us $1,500.

• Walmart #1640 on North Atherton Street granted us $1,000.

• Walmart #6533 on Benner Pike granted us $500.

The grant money will be used to purchase books for our "One Book, One Bellefonte" initiative.

The State College Branch of the AAUW generously donated $2,000 to Bellefonte READS! The funds will be used to purchase books for our "One Book, One Bellefonte" initiative. This is the 6th year that the AAUW has supported Bellefonte READS. Without their support, we would not be able to provide so many free books to the community.

Bellefonte Area School District faculty and staff can donate $1 each week throughout the school year to wear jeans to work on Fridays. The money donated is provided to local charities and organizations. For the 3rd straight year, Bellefonte Area Middle School staff chose to donate their weekly jeans money to Bellefonte READS. The total amount donated was $1,224.00! Because of their support, we're able to bring in 3 authors and 1 illustrator for virtual visits!

The Bellefonte Education Foundation donated $1,000 to be used toward the purchase of books for our "One Book, One Bellefonte" initiative. The organization has supported our work for many years and we are incredibly grateful for their dedication to literacy!

The Marion-Walker Elementary School PTO gave us $500. The money was used to purchase lots of great reading-related raffle prizes!

Wegmans donated a $200 gift card. The funds were used to buy bags of popcorn for over 400 families so that they could enjoy a fun snack while reading their book!

Bellefonte Weis Markets donated a $100 gift card. The funds were used to purchase snack packs of Oreos for over 400 families so that they could enjoy a fun snack while reading their book!
