100+ Women Who Care Centre County donated $12,400 to us via their February Impact Grant! This year's program most definitely would not have been possible without their generosity. The funds will be used to purchase books for this year's program! For more information about about this amazing organization, check out this flyer.
We hosted a Book Fair with Barnes & Noble State College and received 15% of sales during a 3-day weekend. The fundraiser brought in a whopping $4660.09 -- all which will be spent on the purchase of books for this year's program! Special thanks to all community members who came in to the store to visit with us during the event.
The State College Branch of the AAUW generously donated $1,500 to Bellefonte READS! The funds will be used to purchase books for our "One Book, One Bellefonte" initiative. This is the 10th year that the AAUW has supported Bellefonte READS. Without their support, we would not be able to provide so many free books to the community.
The Bellefonte Education Foundation donated $1,500 to be used toward the purchase of books for our "One Book, One Bellefonte" initiative. The organization has supported our work for many years and we are incredibly grateful for their dedication to literacy!
Bellefonte Area School District faculty and staff can donate $1 each week throughout the school year to wear jeans to work on Fridays. The money donated is provided to local charities and organizations. For the 4th straight year, Bellefonte Area Middle School staff chose to donate their weekly jeans money to Bellefonte READS. The total amount donated was $1,360.00! The funds will be used to purchase books for this year's program.
The Field Burger and Tap donated $454.71 via our fundraiser for The Field Gives Back. The funds will be used toward the purchase of books for this year's program.
The Bellefonte Kiwanis donated $250. The funds will cover the cost of our virtual author visit with Jennifer Nielsen!
The Bellefonte Giant donated 500 paper bags that we used to distribute this year's books to families.
