We hosted a Book Fair with Barnes & Noble and received 15% of sales during a 3-day weekend. The fundraiser brought in a whopping $4,966.22! Special thanks to all community members who came in to the store to visit with us during the event.
Several local Walmart stores granted us funds for this year, for a total of $3,000!
Walmart #2230 on Benner Pike granted us $1,000.
Walmart #1640 on North Atherton granted us $1,000.
Walmart #5470 in Huntington granted us $1,000.
The grant money will be used to purchase books for our "One Book, One Bellefonte" initiative.
The State College Branch of the AAUW generously donated $1,500 to Bellefonte READS! The funds will be used to purchase books for our "One Book, One Bellefonte" initiative. This is the 8th year that the AAUW has supported Bellefonte READS. Without their support, we would not be able to provide so many free books to the community.
Bellefonte Area School District faculty and staff can donate $1 each week throughout the school year to wear jeans to work on Fridays. The money donated is provided to local charities and organizations. For the 3rd straight year, Bellefonte Area Middle School staff chose to donate their weekly jeans money to Bellefonte READS. The total amount donated was $1,008.00!
The Bellefonte Education Foundation donated $1,500 to be used toward the purchase of books for our "One Book, One Bellefonte" initiative. The organization has supported our work for many years and we are incredibly grateful for their dedication to literacy!
Trinity United Methodist Church donated book baskets to raffle off to guests who participate in our program. They also provided individual snacks that were added to book bags.
The Marion-Walker PTO donated $500! The funds will be used to purchase books for this year's program.
The Bellefonte Moose Lodge 206 donated $250! The funds will be used to purchase books for this year's program.
The Bellefonte Kiwanis donated $250! The funds will be used to purchase supplemental book materials needed for this year's program.
Dotts Hamilton Tax and Accounting Services donated $200. The funds will be used to purchase books for this year's program.
The Bellefonte Elementary PTO donated $150! The funds will be used to purchase books for this year's program.
The Pleasant Gap Elementary PTO donated $100! The funds will be used to purchase books for this year's program.
3twenty9 donated $100. The funds will be used to purchase books for this year's program.
Bellefonte Family Dentistry donated $50. The funds will be used to purchase books for this year's program!
Robin Hood Brewing Company donated a $25 gift card. It will be raffled off to guests as one of this year's door prizes.
Tammy SC Home Decor & More donated a BEAUTIFUL reading-themed door hanger that will be raffled off to one lucky reader!
Kacie Montgomery, independent Usborne consultant, donated a total of 16 amazing books to be used as raffle prizes! Usborne sells wonderful books for kids of all ages. Check out more info here.
