Align all curriculums with Common Core Standards in an easy to access format by 2014.
Teacher teams will meet beginning in the summer of the 2012-13 school year to add Common Core State Standards alignments to the Curriculum as the Standards come available in other core areas.
Background Eclipse On-Line Curriculum Management
In 2006, the Eclipse Curriculum Management system was purchased. Phase I of the 3 year implementation involved the formation of collaborative teacher workgroups. These collaborative groups shared best practices and current test data to solidify curriculum in each of the content areas.. All of the Pre-K-12 curriculum was entered and aligned to Wisconsin Model Academic Standards, Phase II involved the selection of at least 2 common assessments for each course in the curriculum along with making updates. This was completed at the end of the 2007-2008 school year. Phase III has included the addition of technology and 21st Century Skills by adding links to credible web sources, lists of supplementary video titles, and much more. Since the Common Core State Standards have been available for math and reading, the new focus has been on aligning all content to the Common Core. Teacher teams will continue to meet in the 2012-13 school year and subsequent years to add these alignments as the standards are released for the remaining core areas.
