What Activities Count Toward Professional Development?
ACC defines those activities as:
Professional development activities may include, but are not limited to, credit and non-credit courses, workshops, seminars, teleconferences, audio-visual materials, grant writing projects, and reading or publishing in journals, as long as the activity is approved by the individual’s supervisor.
The Department has added this description:
The development plan is expected to be a document that describes a plan of professional development goals the faculty member has for their future growth. This document is basically an exercise in taking a thoughtful look at what one hopes to achieve in the next year.
