Please use this form to respond my questions or concerns:
Period 1
Battey: I need a very detailed explanation of what this data is. I am sorry, I don't understand at all. Respond to my questions in google form with link above.
Gorlach: Now the next questions would be to ask if linear regressions would be appropriate for these data points and if not, what kind? You would also want to arrange the data so that either the number of goals goes from lowest to highest or the salary goes from lowest to highest. Respond to my questions in google form with link above.
Gellman: What is your population? How did you sample? How do you know that your sample is big enough? How will your project help us all?
Hill: The amount of data is very small and I have no idea how you sampled your data. I think another relevant piece of information you might/might have asked your subjects is when do they stop drinking caffeinated beverages - by noon, by 2pm, by 4pm because the half-life of caffeine in the body is said to be 6 hours. Respond to my questions in google form with link above.
Hinnen: I am not sure I understand how you calculated your values or what they mean? Are they averages or probabilities? Please explain. Respond to my questions in google form with link above.
Leitgeb: Please explain the data you have collected. State the population, sample and what question you hope to answer. Respond to my questions in google form with link above.
Mace: Please answer the questionnaire and continue with math processes.
Pozos: Could you please clearly describe your population and sampling method? Respond to my questions in google form with link above.
Mace: While I appreciate the intensity of your project and the data, I wonder what you are hoping to prove with this study. Also, is this data for all of the United States? Respond to my questions in google form with link above.
Loibner: Could we talk during flex SOON?
Pettingill: What is your population and sample? Place, league, time period, etc.? Respond to my questions in google form with link above.
Talbert: It seems that you are trying to correlate major cities and their homicide rates? Is that right? Why is this data important or valuable? Why did you choose certain countries and not others? Respond to my questions in google form with link above.
Webb: Do you have all the data by now from teachers? Respond to my questions in google form with link above.
Werbner: I don't know what PER and WS and BPM are. Could you please let me know what these are and what you are hoping to do with this data? What is the question you wish to answer with your project? Respond to my questions in google form with link above.
Wilk: Please explain the data you have collected. State the population, sample and what question you hope to answer. Respond to my questions in google form with link above.
Wineland: Could you please convert all your data to tables and contingency tables instead of just bar graphs? Respond to my questions in google form with link above.
Voigt: Is your data global or local (particular to a city or state) for the geophysical disaster? How did you calculate the temperature deviation from the average and where did you get the data about the average global temperature for each year? Respond to my questions in google form with link above.
Period 3
Baykal: Let us talk during flex about your math processes.
Burian: Please answer the questionnaire and continue with math processes.
Diana: Very interesting. Why Mondays? Please answer the questionnaire and continue with math processes.
Schulberg: Please go ahead and complete the IA questionnaire and start your math processes.
DeVoe: What math processes can you perform on your data? Respond to my questions in google form with link above.
Fuller: Please answer the questionnaire and continue with math processes.
Krump: You don't have to the calculations by hand but use the formula and a calculator.
Stahl: How do you justify your sample size? What is your population and sampling technique? Respond to my questions in google form with link above.
Reahl: Please answer the questionnaire and continue with math processes.
Minns: Please convert your heights to a friendlier set of units. Please answer the questionnaire and continue with math processes.
Valeur: Please answer the questionnaire and continue with math processes.
Period 4
Amsden: Your data needs to be available in table form. Can you get that to me asap? I also imagine that you could do various little studies: GPA versus sleep, stress versus sleep, # of hours studying versus GPA, and so on to get a substantial project going. Respond to my questions in google form with link above.
Berry: Consider the years 1995-1996 and the age groups 16-17. You recorded the number of accidents in this age group and year but do you have the total number of drivers in this category? Respond to my questions in google form with link above.
Gaitan: What exactly is the correlation you are hoping to find? The number of times (frequency of use) they smoke/consume versus GPA or method versus GPA, method versus age group, grade versus propensity to smoke? Maybe you can cover all these correlations? Respond to my questions in google form with link above.
Kundin: The data seems really sparse. Would be nice to have more data points or other types of data to help with your investigation.
Lazzara: Could you get more data? Perhaps you can divide it up into classes - freshman, sophomore, junior and senior and get a solid amount of data to compare stress versus sleep within each group and among the groups? Respond to my questions in google form with link above.
Marcus: It seems you have done a lot of work on the data but it is not clear what you are have and how you are interpreting all the work you have done on the data.
Sacks: Please answer the questionnaire and start your math processes.
Xu: It is not clear where you data is coming from? What is your population? Is this data from families at Lincoln, in Portland? And overall, we are expecting the scores to go up as income level goes up so what are you hoping to find out from your data we don't already know? I don't mean to be challenging but this is an important point to address in your IA. Respond to my questions in google form with link above.
