Mandarin Chinese Class Expectations

1. Be Prepared

- Be on time in your assigned seat with your notebook, folder/binder, planner, and a pencil and pen.
- Take care of your personal business (bathroom, locker, water, main office) during passing time. Only 1 pass will be issued per week for one student! You must have your planner and have it signed to leave the room. Passes will not be issued during the first hours.
- We sit at our desks until the bell rings. Do not line up at the door to wait for leaving the class.

2. Be Respectful

- Always be polite to Ms. Shen and other students.
- Listen attentively when Mrs. Shen or other presenters are talking.
- Raise your hand and ask permission before leaving your seat.
- Food is not allowed during the class.
- Cell phones may not be used for texting or checking the time. Electronic devices are NOT allowed in the classroom unless specifically designated by Ms. Shen. If these expectations are not followed, the cell phone or other electronic device may be confiscated and submitted to the Main Office.

3. Participate

- Do your best to participate in ALL activities and SPEAK CHINESE when the teacher and activity requires.
- Always have a positive and caring attitude.

WMS Wildcat Recovery Plan:

- 1st Offense- Warning
- 2nd Offense- Wildcat Recovery Form/Buddy Classroom/Phone call home.
- 3rd Offense- Sent to the Office and enter in campus.

Cell Phone/Technology Policy

1. Appropriate time: before/after school; lunch; 3-minutes passing time; directed by WMS staff.

2. In the classrooms, all personal technology is out sight and silenced (not on vibrate!)

3. Consequences:

First offense: call parent; confiscation to the office until after 2:25pm. In the next 5 school days, drop your phone in the office and pick up after 2:25pm.
Second offense: 15 days
Third offense: 30 days
