For those of you that know me as Ms. Murphy, I am happy to announce that I got married this summer to a wonderful man and have taken his name.
My goal as an art educator is to help you find your passion in art, to appreciate the arts and to improve your artistic skills no matter what level you are. Even if, you find some art isn't exactly your style, I hope that you can appreciate why or how the artist may have created it.
"As practice makes perfect, I cannot but make progress; each drawing one makes, each study one paints, is a step forward. " ~ Vincent Van Gogh
Keep creating and keep learning!
My passions as an artist are CLAY...PHOTOGRAPHY...and BOOKMAKING!!!
I first fell in love with clay when I was in college. In high school clay was not my friend. However, it became my best friend and my major at BGSU. I love how you can take a blob of clay and mold it into something. I love that it is a physical workout when working with clay, yet it is so calming. Some contemporary clay artists that have inspired me are David Stabley and Lana Wilson.
Here are some of my clay works.
