AWHS Visual Art Department

*UNDER CONSTRUCTION*

Welcome to the Anthony Wayne High School Visual Art Department homepage.

The art department offers unique opportunities for students' academic development as well as students interested in a career in art.

Students will learn to understand and to pursue quality, to be expressive and responsive, to exercise their imaginations, and to be interested in visions and inventions of others.

ALL students are required 1 fine art credit minimum during their high school experience. This could be Art Foundations (prerequisite for other art courses) as a starting point. To continue your art exploration, general choices include: 2D Design (painting, drawing, printmaking, etc.) and 3D Design (ceramics and sculpture). For the art student searching for a more in-depth experience in a specific area your choices include: Drawing, Painting, Computer Graphics, New Media Arts, Photography, Sculpture and Ceramics, Design in Crafts, and Senior Portfolio Studio. And for those seeking college credit, we are offering through BGSU ART 1010 Introduction to Art here on campus at the high school or AP Art History.

For more information, speak to Mrs. Cousino, Mr. DeKay, and Mrs. Flagg or visit the "Course Descriptions" page.
