When students have a choice in what they read, it leads to a generation of enthusiastic readers and a hunger for learning. Building a lifelong love for reading starts with a choice, so let’s empower students to take ownership of what they read.
It doesn’t matter what they read, or how they read it. Whether a student picks up a graphic novel, listens to a novel in verse audiobook, or reads an article from a database, #AllBooksForAllKids is about seeing students’ faces light up because they’re reading and learning about the topics that interest them.
AISZ has access to online ebooks and audiobooks via the Sora OverDrive platform! Our school is a member of the CEESA OverDrive Consortium which is a larger ebook and audiobook collection that is shared with multiple schools. This means our school has its own account but has access to a larger collection that is shared among other joined schools in the CEESA region.
OverDrive Education is the leading digital reading platform for K-12, delivering the industry’s largest catalog of ebooks and audiobooks to over 50,000 school partners across the globe. The student reading app, Sora, provides 24/7 access to books with powerful learning tools and insights to meet the needs of students and educators.
Students can access the app through the school’s email account. They can access it by the AISZ Goggle Suite, by downloading the app, or through this link
