Ms. Zeuner's Biography

Ms. Zeuner received her BA in Dance Arts from the Richard Stockton College of NJ and was awarded the National Dance Association's Outstanding Student in Dance Award in 1994. She was accepted on a graduate scholarship to the University of New Mexico where her graduate studies included choreography, dance theory, modern dance, kinesiology, and curriculum development.


Ms. Zeuner performed with the University of New Mexico Dance Company where she studied Choreography and Laban technique and Bartenieff fundamentals from dance master Bill Evans. While at UNM she co-directed and taught the Saturday Children's Dance Workshops. For six years, she worked as Artistic Director of Dance for GAM Dance where she instructed students of all levels and directed the Albuquerque Children's Dance Company. While in New Mexico she participated in "Setting the National Dance Standards in Motion" and "Academic Concepts Through the Kinesthetic Intelligence" workshops with National Dance Association dance arts advocate Ann Greene Gilbert. After returning to the east coast, Ms. Zeuner studied Horton Pedagogy with Anne Marie Forsythe at The Ailey School in NYC. From 2002 to 2013, Ms. Zeuner took on the role of Dance Educator at Absegami High School. It was during this time that she developed high school level dance curricula and taught Dance Art to students grades 9 through 12. She founded the Absegami Company Dance and directed & choreographed for the Performing Arts Program for 11 years. From 2007 to 2015 she was an adjunct professor of Dance at The Richard Stockton College of NJ and in 2010 she founded Kinetic Poetic Dance Company as a vehicle to spread her love of dance within her community.


Ms. Zeuner began teaching Performing Arts Dance at the Atlantic County Institute of Technology in 2013 where she is also the Dance Club Advisor. She is currently studying for her Somatic Dance Certification with the Bill Evans Dance Institute (BETI). Her hobbies include gardening, herbalism, and spending time in nature. In her spare time she organizes and teaches free garden workshops for children in her community and is an active member of the The Hammonton Green Committee.
