Clubs
The philosophy of the Performing Arts Academy is that performance opportunities should be available to all students. There are many students in other academies with artistic talent. As in any traditional high school we offer several extra-curricular activities within the arts so that all students can benefit.
Drama Club and ITS (visit the link)
This offers students an opportunity to participate in dramatic performances, learn more about acting and improvisation, and connect with peers with a similar interest. Students can act and/or sing in a variety of events.
Drama Club meets on Tuesdays.
Dance Ensemble (visit the website link)
This offers students interested in dance the opportunity to work with other students to create and perform original dance works within a variety of dance styles.
Dance Ensemble students will be offered the opportunity to participate in the fall Choreoproject performance and the Spring Dance Concert.
Dance Ensemble meets on Monday and Wednesdays at 2:50pm.
Stage Crew
This offers students the opportunity to work backstage, learning lights, sound, and more. These valuable students work many of the performances in the PAC.
Stage Crew will meet weekly and as needed per the PAC calendar.
Choir and Select Choir (visit the link)
This offers students an opportunity to learn more about singing and participate in an ensemble choir.
Choir meets Thursdays and will perform in a Winter and Spring Music Concert.
Some select Choirs may be added and will take place on Wednesdays.
SkillsUSA (visit the link)
Is an opportunity for Actors, Singers, and Dancers to join together to create and compete in the Performing Arts category of SkillsUSA, a competition for career and technical areas. This is a prestigious organization and scholarships may be available to winners. Students prepare throughout the year and compete in the winter, usually March. The club is run by Chef Morse.
