Hatch!

One day, an egg fell out of its nest and after a loooooooooooong time, the egg hatched. Then his name was Hatch. He was a cardinal. He said, “Where am I? Where is my mommy?” So, he walked along the grass. Hatch said, “Is that a giant building block?” Then, he noticed he had wings and he started to fly! Suddenly, he saw a hawk that said, “That is not a giant block, that is a building.” So Hatch went on, but then he saw a circle with water on it and a sharp twig in it and the hawk said, “that is a pancake with syrup and a fork in it.” Hatch saw a green rock moving. The hawk came over again and said, “that is a turtle!” So Hatch landed on the ground and walked along the big rock, but, one day, something bad happened… a snail drank a droplet of Chemical X and then the process started. Arms broke out of the sides of the shell and then he got bigger and bigger and bigger. The giant snail headed for the big city. The same thing happened to a scorpion, but the process was different. When he drank Chemical X and got bigger and bigger, he became a robot and went for the city. Hatch was in danger! Hatch accidentally kicked a rock at the humongous snail. The snail turned at Hatch and he ran after him. Hatch flew up. He bumped into the robot scorpion and the robot scorpion started snapping at Hatch. Hatch had an idea! Hatch landed on the robot scorpion. The Hatch shouted, “Yippee Ki Yay!” So it made the snail think the scorpion wanted to eat him. The snail ran away. Hatch threw two things at the snail and the robot scorpion to make them small again. Finally, Hatch saw his mom.
