Mr. Hubler

Educational Philosophy

  • “To Laugh often and much; To win the respect of intelligent people and the affection of children; To earn the appreciation of honest critics and endure the betrayal of false friends; To appreciate beauty, to find the best in others; To leave the world a bit better, whether by healthy child, a garden patch, or a redeemed social condition; To know even one life has breathed easier because you have lived. This is to have succeeded.”

  • Ralph Waldo Emerson

All students can achieve at a high level. We do not all learn the same way or at the same pace and it is my hope that I can help my students find their path to success.

About Mr. Hubler

This will be the start of my 6th year as a 5th Grade teacher at Warm Springs K-8 Academy. I am looking forward to meeting my students and connecting with their families to celebrate their growth.

My wife Angie and I have been married for over 30 years. We have two grown children that both live and work in Bend. When not teaching we enjoy hiking all over Central Oregon. Backpacking trips this summer have included trips to the Wallowa's, Strawberry Mountains, Steens Mountain, and the Diamond Lake Wilderness. Each year we try to cover a couple pieces of the Pacific Crest Trail. This past year has been a challenge but the mountains have helped us escape and enjoy eachother.

Mr. Hubler and his two dogs.

We do most of our hiking with our two dogs. Sal the brown one is about 3 years old. Loki, the brown and white one is only a year old. They love the trail and give us a reason to head outside on the weekends throughout he year.

Bee Awesome

We also have three bee hives at our house. Last year we harvested 8 gallons of honey from the hives. Angie does most of the work but I help out when needed. In the photo we are collecting a swarm. This year our hives swarmed four times.

Fox in the neighborhood

One of the highlights of working from home this past spring was watching a fox wander through our yard on a daily basis. I think he was interested in our chickens. One day when the chickens were out, I had to chase him away with a stick.
