This will be my 15th year of teaching in the upper elementary grades, and the start of my 5th year at the Warm Springs K-8 Academy.
I am the father of two amazing daughters named Chloe and Angelina, and I recently became a grandfather for the first time. My granddaughter's name is Juniper-she is one year old and loves dogs, her sandbox, and Sesame Street. Speaking of dogs, I am also the proud owner of a chihuahua-poodle mix (chinoodle). Her name is Charlotte. We call her the Sausage.
In my spare time, I enjoy reading, skiing, playing softball, mountain biking, and martial arts. I am also an artist and a drummer.
I am also a huge Seahawks fan!
I've had the good fortune to work with some pretty amazing teachers-both as a student and an educator. They have all inspired me and enriched my life in ways I never imagined, and they gave me the tools and knowledge I needed to build a better future for myself. They have influenced me throughout my life-especially during times of struggle and uncertainty. It is hard to imagine where I would be without their kindness, compassion, and guidance. The one thing all of them, including my dad, have in common-is that they taught me that I was capable of more than I ever imagined possible. They helped instill the belief and mindset that I can overcome my struggles and failures-and succeed at almost anything I put my mind too. That is the reason I am a teacher. I want the opportunity to do the same for my students. I want to help give them the tools they need to create a future for themselves that is full of possibilities.
