Employees must complete the following to update their home address:
Complete an updated W4 form, and send the updated address in an email to: HR@38northsecurity.com
Go into DC Health Link and update you address for the healthcare. HR cannot make this update for you.
Log into Employee Navigator and update your address in the system.
All other sites will be updated by HR once the new address is received.
Employees have a 30 day grace period starting from the date of the qualifying event to make changes to insurance. You will need to provide proof in the form of a certificate or other legal document in order to make the change.
Changes to medical insurance can be done directly through DC Health Link. For all other changes to insurance, please contact our broker:

That depends. Please work with your reporting manager to discuss your specific situation and possible travel restrictions based on the contract(s) to which you are assigned.
Based on the employee’s experience and performance with the Company, 38North will consider pay adjustments. These discussions should occur during the performance appraisal/evaluation period. Employees will generally receive an appraisal of their job performance annually.

The STD benefit has a 7-day elimination period prior to benefits being received from Renaissance. The benefit is 60% of the employees weekly pay with a max benefit of $2500. A claim form must be completed in order for an employee to access the benefit. There is a section for the employer, employee and their provider to complete. All sections of the claim must be received in order for Renaissance to review the claim. The review process can typically take 7-10 business days. Ideally, you want to submit the claim as soon as possible to avoid any delay in payment from when the employee is out on leave.

To receive tuition/educational reimbursement, employees must complete the 38N Educational Reimbursement Form found at the bottom of the Human Resources page. This includes the following steps:
Provide your manager with information about the course or certification for which you would like to receive reimbursement.
Complete the pre-approval section of the tuition reimbursement form and provide all necessary signatures prior to enrolling.
If approved, email the form to Human Resources (HR@38northsecurity.com). A copy will be put in you employee file and you will maintain the original until they have completed the course.
Enroll in and attend the course, or pay the certification fees
Upon completion of the course, email the original education reimbursement form with the reimbursement section filled out and signed to Human Resources (HR@38northsecurity.com) and provide receipt(s) and evidence of a passing grade or certification.
Employees who refer individuals who are hired to join 38North as non-part time employees and successfully complete six (6) months of employment will be eligible for a $2,500 referral bonus if they are still employed at the time that the bonus is paid. This referral program is subject to the following terms and conditions:
Referral bonuses will be paid out within one (1) month of the referred candidate completing six (6) months of employment.
No bonus will be paid for candidates who leave during the first six (6) months of employment.
Referred individuals must not have previously applied for employment with 38North or worked as a part-time employee or contractor.
Referral bonuses are only offered for individuals hired as permanent full-time employees (e.g., not contractors)
There is no cap on the number of referrals an employee can make.
If two or more employees refer the same candidate, only the first referrer will receive the referral bonus.
Referrers are still eligible for bonuses even if a candidate is hired at a later time or gets hired for another position.
All employees are eligible to participate in the 38North referral program except for:
Executive management (President, Vice President, etc.)
Recruiters and hiring managers for positions for which they are hired.
