Katy Fourie (she/her) is a learning strategist working at the intersection of learning science, technology, and strategy. She brings a decade of experience in EdTech and adult education to the Learning Strategy team, and holds a B.Psych in Psychology and an M.Ed specializing in Information and Communication Technology (ICT).
Her work is grounded in evidence-informed, learner-centered practice, with a focus on translating research into strategy and practical design decisions that improve learner outcomes. She has experience across instructional and learning experience design, curriculum development, and digital product management, with a strong emphasis on scalable, data-informed solutions.
Katy has a particular interest in AI in Education (AIEd), with published research exploring AI adoption and the use of large language models (LLMs) as tools for learning and design.
Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her cat, tending to her ever-growing collection of indoor plants, and reading psychological thrillers.
Originally from a small town in the Karoo, she currently lives in Cape Town, South Africa, with her partner.
