Assessing an existing learning experience for platform, product line, and quality fit within the edX portfolio.
Assessing an existing learning experience for platform, product line, and quality fit within the edX portfolio.
In a Nutshell
We'll help you assess if submitted learning experience might be good candidates for the edX ecosystem. All edX and 2U learning experiences are subject to our research-grounded learning quality standards, and are curated into different formats based on learning outcomes, audience, format, and other parameters. Above all, we'll look through submitted learning experiences and ask two primary questions:
1/ Is the learning design a good fit for edx.org?
2/ Is the learning design effective, engaging, efficient, and equitable?
1/ Kick-Off
DURATION: 1 WEEK
Once you gain access to the learning experience you'd like reviewed, please submit a project request. You may request an area of focus for the analysis, including:
learning experience quality,
fit for destination platform,
fit with validated edX / 2U product lines,
suggestions for restructuring content,
level of effort for recommended changes,
cost of making recommended changes, or,
any additional specific, detailed questions you might have.
2/ Access
DURATION: 2-3 DAYS
We'll review your request and assign a Senior Learning Strategist to conduct the analysis. The Strategist may reach out to you to support with gaining the correct access or credentials to review the submitted learning experience.
3/ Analysis
DURATION: 1 WEEK
Once the assigned member of our team receives access, we assess how that experience measures up to our quality framework, and compile recommendations about the best product line, price point, or demographic reach based on past experience. Unless otherwise requested, we use a rubric to structure our analysis, focused on key questions like platform compatibility, audience accessibility, and match with one of our established product lines.
The output is most commonly an executive brief compiling highlights from our analysis and key recommendations for adapting the learning experience for inclusion in the edX portfolio.
Depending on the questions asked, the brief may contain information about timeline, investment parameters, or competitive placement.
